DIS Global Sports Scholarship
The Global Schools Foundation (GSF) has been contributing to the needs of deserving students through various programmes and initiatives. With the Global Sports Scholarship (GSS) programme, GSF aims to provide foundational support to young sportspersons and recognise their achievements at the international and national levels. Along with financial support, the scholarship will also focus on encouraging budding talents by proper mentorship as and when required.
This scholarship is aimed for students who reside in the Philippines (Passport / Special Study Permit / Valid Visa / Alien Certificate of Registration / Resident Visa), including existing parents and student fraternity of DIS Manila Philippines, across grades 7-12. Candidates are invited to apply for Global Sports Scholarship across various individual and team disciplines including, Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Chess, Athletics, Gymnastics, Swimming, Archery, Shooting, Boxing, Weightlifting, Cycling, Diving, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Martial Arts (Judo & Karate), Wrestling, Hockey, Cricket, Rugby and Squash.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must have a national / international repute.
- Applicants must come from a Moderate Income family.
- Have a good academic performance for the past two years.
- Must be affiliated with a Sports Coach or a recognized Sports Body/ Federation/ Academy.
- Pass a skills test and Interview.
- Be able to demonstrate a strong evidence of future outstanding potential AND
- Have consistently played for the last 2 years, i.e. represented their country at national OR international levels in the last 2/3 years.
- Be members of winner and runners-up teams and first/second or third position holders in individual events at National level OR
- Have represented / winner of junior / senior National championships/ games for last 2 years OR
- Have an outstanding achievement in sports at the international level, minimally at the SEA Games and/or at the other Major Games or equivalent competition OR
- Be talented players identified in priority sports disciplines at various International / National Level competitions.
Scholarship Process
- Step 1 : Application – Eligible candidate to submit the online application form.
- Step 1A : Documentation – In the application form upload all prerequisite documents.
- Upload last 2 Years academic records.
- Family income documents/ tax assessment for the past two years.
- Step 2 : One to One Interview
- Step 3 : Scholarship Approval & Intimation
- Step 4 : Notification – Successful applicants will be notified by email within 4 weeks’ time (from the date of scholarship cycle closing)

Applications submitted without appropriate support documents will not be processed.
